In today's ever-changing, stressful, modern world, counseling is needed now more than ever. People from all walks of life are turning to counseling to support them in their daily lives and to provide them with effective tools to cope with stress, worry and sadness. At Skylight Counseling Center, we have found that online counseling can be just as effective as in person counseling. Talking with a trained counselor on a regular or periodic basis can help with coping, improving resiliency, and uncovering new tools for more effecive living.
Online Counseling Process
By signing up for your first online counseling session, you will be connected with a counselor who matches your area of concern, availability and therapy preference. The counselor will ask you to fill out our online intake form and send it back to them. They will then arrange your first session. We use a HIPAA compliant version of Google Meet for video telehealth sessions, or we can do phone calls if that is preferred. After the completion of your first session, the counselor will help you with options for future work. We can design a regularly scheduled meeting, or we can help you establish new tools for a healthy daily routine.
