Direct Client Services
The Skylight Foundation’s primary objective is to ensure that individual clients receive high quality counseling services, and promptly. When a client reaches out to the foundation for services, we respond within 24 hours and match them with a therapist. We believe it is imperative that all clients receive services as soon as possible. When people are in emotional pain or distressed, a prompt response is sometimes the difference between clients getting the help they need and them giving up.
Partnerships With Other Nonprofits
The Skylight Foundation has also partnered with large nonprofits across the city that serve young adults from low income backgrounds. By partnering with these nonprofits, we are able to provide direct services but also offer general wellness, stress management and sleep workshops. These partnerships are critical to ensuring that young adults receive care.
How Is The Skylight Foundation Funded?
The Skylight Foundation’s work is made possible through money donations and grants. In addition, we hold fundraiser sales where all proceeds go to the foundations. Friends of the foundation donate vintage and antique items, which we in turn sell to raise money. Come check us out at our next sale!
Our hope is to inspire and model for other practitioners how to creatively raise funds for mental health so that individuals without insurance and/or limited income can access mental health resources. It is often times the most vulnerable populations that need mental health resources who can access them the least. We believe that with strong advocacy and tapping into our networks, we can come together and bring therapy to the masses.
