About Ran

Ran Kushida graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Northwestern University and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from City, University of London. Having previously lived in multiple countries, Ran understands the difficulties that individuals face when transitioning abroad, or other difficulties that may be apparent when adjusting to a new culture. Through encounters with different people from around the world and hearing and observing multiple perspectives, Ran adopts a mindset of increasing human connection through unconditional positive regard and a non-judgmental mindset.

Ran has experience working with individuals of all ages and has worked alongside individuals who face issues related to anxiety, depression and trauma. He has also worked with individuals who face issues related to confidence and identity development.

Ran uses an eclectic approach of drawing out specific techniques from psychodynamic and cognitive therapy. He aims to provide deeper understanding for the individuals that he works with; providing a space in which people can feel comfortable to explore areas that
may be difficult to touch upon otherwise.
