About Marisol

Everyone deserves to be heard and to feel seen; to know they are cared about and to be understood.  People need that human connection, not only to survive but to thrive.  Marisol Hardaway is passionate about showing clients that she genuinely cares, and that they matter.  She desires to help them grow by better understanding themselves and developing the tools they need to have healthier lives and relationships. 

 

Marisol counsels a variety of individuals and families seeking help for issues ranging from parent-child relationship problems to complex trauma.  She is skilled in providing supportive therapy for people who are experiencing depression, grief and loss, abuse, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and numerous other challenges.  She offers a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate presence for individuals who desire to have someone to sit with them in their struggles, and walk alongside them on their healing journey. 

 

 

 

Marisol is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.  She is a Chicago native and provides therapy in both English and Spanish.  She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2008.  Marisol integrates therapy techniques tailored to each person's specific needs.  Counseling approaches she utilizes are Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as other therapeutic modalities.  

 

Working with diverse populations in a variety of settings has been central to Marisol’s values and clinical experiences.  She believes everyone deserves quality mental health care that provides them with true empathy and hope.
