About Roger

Roger is a psychotherapist, group facilitator, life coach, and executive leadership consultant. He uses narrative, depth-based, relational approaches to connect deeply and empathically with clients. Roger is warm, sensitive, caring, and accepting in session, with an infectious sense of humor. And he doesn’t hesitate to kindly and respectfully challenge clients to hold themselves
accountable.

Roger migrated to the counseling profession later in life, following an extensive career in television, film, and media communications. He now combines his counseling education and
training with his vast and divergent life experiences to help others navigate the challenges they face.

While Roger works effectively with all genders, he’s developed a knack for counseling and mentoring men using male-specific approaches that confront unhealthy stereotypes of masculinity. Roger enjoys working with high-performing individuals in business, sports, and the arts and has a keen interest in the efficacy of more mindful and authentic evidence-based
approaches to leadership. Additionally, Roger is enthusiastic about the enduring value of psychoeducation and the transformational power of group therapy and as such, designs and facilitates group counseling cohorts at Skylight.

Roger holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and is a Certified Trauma Professional.
