🌳 This group is for you! Step away from the chaos and into the quiet wisdom of nature to reconnect with yourself, others, and the natural world.
Rooted & Resilient is a nature-based therapy group designed to support adults who are stressed, burnt out, and longing for a fresh way to heal, in community and outdoors.
Each gathering will follow an intentional rhythm of three parts, each lasting about 20 minutes:

Part 1. Opening – An introduction to the day’s theme and a short teaching to ground the group.
Part 2. Solo Exploration – Guided by a nature-inspired prompt, participants explore the theme through a self-directed outdoor activity.
Part 3. Group Integration – Returning together, the group shares reflections in a nonjudgmental circle, facilitated by local nature enthusiast and licensed mental health counselor, Cindy Nielsen.

Themes include:

Growing – Connection & Expansion
Releasing – Letting Go & Integration
Renewing – Clarity & Visioning
No prior experience is necessary! All you need is a willingness to step outside, rain or shine, and to be kind to yourself and others.

Saturday mornings, 9:30-10:30 amLocation: Keay Nature Learning Center*Tentative time and location
Keay Nature Learning Center is a secluded nature preserve nestled between Hibbard Rd &, Skokie Blvd (U.S. Route 41) with ample free parking available on site.

Cost

The cost is $50 per week for a seat with a minimum six-week commitment for a total of $300. Groups are ongoing and open to new members when space permits. We accept BCBS PPO and Aetna insurance and are happy to provide superbills for submission to other insurance providers to claim reimbursement under out-of-network mental health benefits.
