About Bukky

Hi, my name is Oluwabukola Adeyinka, but you can call me Bukky (Boo-key). My Nigerian heritage, rooted in close family ties and communal support, led me to become a clinician who honors genuine connection. I have extensive experience working with individuals suffering from anxiety and depression related to life transitions as well as cultural and ethnic identity. I also enjoy working with folks who are exploring navigating work stress, career transitions, and leadership roles. My work with clients is focused on how to transform existing relationships, or cultivate new ones, so that you are supported in the ways that you need.

My approach is based on systemic thinking, which seeks to understand a person’s current challenges in relationship to their contexts. Context can include, but is not limited to, your cultural/ethnic identity, family of origin, chosen family, as well as the institutions that a you engage with on a regular basis.

Being a student of our experiences and looking closely at the nuances of our contexts can be overwhelming. This is where our relationship comes into play. We will work together to build trust and safety in our relationship though providing each other mutual feedback. I will offer the aspects of my mental health training that are relevant in our relationship, while holding that you are the expert of your life. It is only in mutual connection that we can find the way forward. I look forward to walking with you on your journey!
