About Janice

Janice's warm, accessible style conveys her respectful acceptance of the uniqueness of each individual as well as the recognition of all we humans have in common.  Her years of experience in assisting individuals to become more fully their authentic selves are reflected in the wisdom and humor she offers in her work with clients as indivduals, couples and families.  She has a clinical approach that integrates normal developmental issues with psychodynamic understanding and systemic thinking.

Janice received her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University.  She had worked in community mental health for 13 years, developed and directed a Family Therapy Program at Greater Lawn Mental Health Center in Chicago where she supervised program staff as well as graduate student interns.  She has been a Clinical Supervisor of graduate students at The Family Institute at Northwestern University for over 30 years where, in 2007, she received the Distinguished Alumni Award from their Alumni Association.
