About Tara

Tara Sabol graduated from Northwestern University with her Masters of Arts in Counseling from The Family Institute. Prior to joining Skylight Counseling Center, Tara worked extensively with children, teens, and adults to seek relief from anxiety and related disorders, grief and loss, depression, and self-confidence. Tara has experience in partial hospitalization, outpatient services, transitional living services, and conducting group therapy in hospital and private practice settings.

Tara creates a safe, nurturing, and nonjudgmental space for clients to feel heard, understood, and supported in creating new patterns that will allow for lasting change and increased self confidence. 

Tara has a strong interest in working with individuals navigating issues related to anxiety, self-esteem, poor communication, emotion regulation, and identity development. Tara utilizes a collaborative and relational approach to ensure her clients have a voice within their therapy experience.

Tara’s therapy style is holistic in nature, emphasizing the relationship between physical, mental and emotional well-being. Tara is an eclectic practitioner that integrates various therapeutic modalities to approach the needs for each specific individual. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), Tara is particularly interested in the principles and effectiveness of mindfulness and meditation and integrates this into her work to help clients achieve a deeper sense of peace and balance.
