About Amy

Amy is a skilled, empathic and compassionate clinician who is dedicated to helping individuals understand their personal story in a caring and safe therapeutic environment.

Amy engages clients with a warm and non-judgmental approach. With an open-minded perspective, she invites clients to examine and unpack their inner worlds in the safe space that she creates with them. She strongly believes in the power of growth and change, and collaborates with her clients to reveal their authentic selves as she guides them toward the discovery of a more enriched life. Through self-examination and increased self-understanding, clients are able to identify "roadblocks" that may be standing in the way of them reaching their full potential.

Amy utilizes multiple therapeutic approaches to help clients heal. Using a psychodynamic approach she works with clients to increase insight while also drawing from solution based approaches to provide tangible coping skills for managing the day to day.

Amy received a Master's Degree in Social Work at Loyola University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She comes to Skylight Counseling with extensive experience working with diverse populations specializing in mood and anxiety disorders. She works with adults to navigate issues related to life changes, identity, family and relationships, and self-esteem.
